Remained Chairman Youth and student wing all Jammu & Kashmir Muslim Conference (MC). Led and organized Muslim Conference youth force and MC workers and united them on one Platform.
Started political career at an early age after forgoing further studies at Madina University and assumed leadership of the party as Chief Organizer.
Elected Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) in AJK Assembly for three times in the past.
In 2002, he has been elected as 9th President of All Jammu & Kashmir Muslim Conference, the largest political party and forerunner of the political emancipation in Kashmir .
